Dr. Azadeh Kushki
Dr. Kushki is an Associate Professor at the University of Toronto’s Department of Biomedical Engineering and a Senior Scientist at Holland Bloorview’s Research Institute and the Autism Research Centre. Her research focuses on the development of novel pattern recognition and machine learning techniques for analysis of biological and behavioural data in autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related neurodevelopmental conditions. The goal of this research is to improve our understanding of the neurobiological correlates of autism, and better characterize the variability in the spectrum.
Dr. Kushki also designs technologies that improve the quality of life and care for children on the autism spectrum, respect the uniqueness of children with ASD, and make evidence-based treatments accessible to a larger and more diverse population.
