Ishanee Jahagirdar, MScOT, OT Reg. (Ont.)
Ishanee Jahagirdar is an occupational therapist working in the Child Development Program at Holland Bloorview. Since graduating from the University of Toronto in 2015, she has worked in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, schools, and in the community.
Ishanee is passionate about bringing curiosity and a function-focused and humanistic lens into her practice. She enjoys working collaboratively with children and families to build on their unique strengths and resources and support engagement in the things that matter to them. She also has an independent practice working with young adults to enable participation in meaningful occupations and daily life as well as advocating for inclusion and accessibility for learners in clinical settings.
Her interests include understanding neurodiversity, mental health, self-regulation, sensory processing, solution-focused coaching, and sustainability in healthcare.
Ishanee also holds a Status Appointment as a lecturer in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto and is involved in clinical education and research.
Outside of work, she enjoys reading, stand-up paddleboarding, practicing yoga, volunteering, traveling, spending time with loved ones, and being outdoors.
